Rosie’s Walk/Run for Diabetes
This year, a portion of the funds raised will be
shared with the Galway Public Library, in addition to supporting
the work of the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation. The September 15th event is sponsored
by the Galway Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs and starts at the Galway
Lions Building, 2167 Galway Road. Registration is at 9:30 a.m

CDYMCA Pilates is back!
CDYMCA sponsored Pilates returns with 2 classes
weekly at the Galway United Methodist Church beginning Sept. 10
and 12. Continuing Pilates, for those with experience: Mondays,
5:15-6:15. All Levels Pilates: Wednesdays 5:15-6:15. Pilates is
a non-cardio exercise that works the core muscles to improve strength,
muscle tone and flexibility. Bring a yoga sticky mat to class;

Will be on exhibit at the Union College Kelly Adirondack
Center, 897 St. David’s Lane, Niskayuna. The exhibit, The
Summits of Forests: the High Peaks Photography of Kay Flickinger
and Books of Grace Hudowalski, will run through, November 18th.
Kay was the first secretary of the Adirondack 46ers. She was #41
of all who have climbed the 46 highest peaks. Her photographs,
which capture the High Peaks of the 1940s and 1950s, were donated
to the Adirondack Research Center by Julie and Erik Roy. The Kelly
Adirondack Center is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to
4 pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

is offering Single Family Housing Repair Loans & Grants. Also
known as the Section 504 Home Repair program, this provides loans
to very-low-income homeowners to repair, improve, or modernize
their homes or provides grants to elderly very-low-income homeowners
