Family Fun Day 2018!

Will be on Saturday, June 16th, rain or shine, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Galway Town Hall Complex. The day is free of charge for all with a variety of family activities and games, free prizes and free food. Our community safety groups will also be there: firetrucks, police cars, school bus, and ambulances. Learn more on the activities and participating groups. Come join the fun and help celebrate our youth. We are looking for youth as well as adult volunteers to help with the various activities. Galway Summer Reading

Will be on exhibit at the Union College Kelly Adirondack Center, 897 St. David’s Lane, Niskayuna. The exhibit, The Summits of Forests: the High Peaks Photography of Kay Flickinger and Books of Grace Hudowalski, will run through, November 18th. Kay was the first secretary of the Adirondack 46ers. She was #41 of all who have climbed the 46 highest peaks. Her photographs, which capture the High Peaks of the 1940s and 1950s, were donated to the Adirondack Research Center by Julie and Erik Roy. The Kelly Adirondack Center is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public.


Galway Youth Commission Spring recreational soccer program

For Pre-K through 6th grade open for registrations for May 12 - June 16 season. Soccer at Dockstader Recreation Fields Rte 147. Free to children from Galway and towns in the Galway School District who participate in Galway Youth Commission Programs. Sign up forms at the Joseph Henry Elementary School, Galway Town Hall and the Galway Library. No child will be left out due to financial hardship. The Enrichment Resource Center of the Galway CSD

Announces a new, innovative summer enrichment camp for 2018. The summer camps have been redesigned to allow students to experience a variety of courses. Register for more information!


Galway Karate Club

A Galway Youth Commission program offering classes (Karate * Self Defense * Kobudo * Breaking) every Tuesday & Thursday @ 7:00pm in the Galway Central School. Open to all Ages 5 and up. Learn more.

Single Family Housing Repair Loans & Grants

The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Rural Development, is offering Single Family Housing Repair Loans & Grants. Also known as the Section 504 Home Repair program, this provides loans to very-low-income homeowners to repair, improve, or modernize their homes or provides grants to elderly very-low-income homeowners to remove health & safety hazards.
