Celebrates 50 years of being there when you need them – answering calls for accidents, injuries and illnesses – saving lives.


Their district includes the Town of Galway, Galway Village, Galway Lake, Northern section of Charlton and the Town of Providence. They serve a combined population of over 5,800. They can only provide these services with help from the community.

It's Harvest Time!

Check out what local farmers are currently producing: Apples, you pick apples, cider donutes, mums, pumpkins, gourds, and fall decorations. Get a listing of all offerings. Eagle Mills Cider Mill and Family Fun Park
23rd Annual Art and Craft two weekends in September (September 16-17 and 23-24). Family Fun Park with lots of activities for the kids. Cider Press open Labor Day weekend. Apples, cider donuts, maple syrup, and baked goods. Find Eagle Mills in the Things To Do directory.


Ellms Farm, Ballston Spa

Saratoga Harvest Fest.

Saturday, September 30th, 1 pm – 7 pm at the Saratoga Race Track, Union Street Entrance. Features a wide variety of seasonal craft beers, wine and ciders, live music and delicious food from local food trucks and vendors. Advance tickets are $8 ($12 at the gate) and include admission to the event as well as a commemorative Saratoga Harvest Festival hat while supplies last. Go to: for more details.


Vintage Car Show

The Galway Lions Club and Galway VFW will present a Vintage Camper Rally and Car Show Friday, September 29th through Sunday, October 1st. More info.

Area farmers report that they are bailing and getting hay in. If you’re in the market for first-cut hay contact these farmers, all listed under the Farm & Garden directory.
• Anderson Acres at 52 Western Ave. in West Charlton: bailing now, has square bales, round bales and silage, 518-882-6052.
• Donnandale Farm at 2287 Donnan Rd. in Galway: will have hay in late June, first and second cutting, round bales and square bales, 518-813-8024.

The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Rural Development, is offering Single Family Housing Repair Loans & Grants. Also known as the Section 504 Home Repair program, this provides loans to very-low-income homeowners to repair, improve, or modernize their homes or provides grants to elderly very-low-income homeowners to remove health & safety hazards.
