Q: What kind of information does your website contain?
A: The Galway Get Together Center offers public information and access to products, services, organizations, government entities and things to do locally available within Galway and its surrounding areas. Things included are: food & drink, farm goods & markets, breeders, builders, fixers, mechanics, utility providers, care providers (human and animal), all forms of art (writing, photography, pottery, painting, music, theater, etc.), various activities (parks, preserves, parties, horseback riding) and the service organizations; like health care, fire, police and government entities that are vital to our community.
It also provides current information on community events happening in the area as well specific activities/sales etc. that businesses are promoting.
Q: How do I find a specific Listing?
A: There are several ways:
- You can enter the listing name (or partial name) in the Search
- Enter a keyword in search like: food, Galway, horse, etc. Then look through the listings presented
- Select a category as a filter to reduce the listings results
Once you find the listing, you can mark it as a favorite for ease of finding later
Q: What kind of searches can be done?
A: Search is based on keywords.
- All words entered will be checked and all listings that match full or partially to any of the words will be returned
- Add quotes around words if you want an exact match; “Town of Galway” vs Town of Galway
- You can filter the search by selecting a specific category
- Search will check: name, title, category, short & long description
Q: What kind of information does a listing contain?
A: A listing must contain: Category, title, name and address. It may also contain: multiple categories, image, phone, email, website, Facebook, Instagram, geomap location, tags, calendar, and short & long descriptions
Q: How do I mark a listing as a favorite?
A: There is a heart icon on the bottom-right of the listing, Click this to turn it red. This will add it to your favorites list. Now to add a favorite or access this list you need to register. You can do this by adding a favorite and it will ask you to sign in and give you the option to create a new account. You can also click on the sign-in icon on the upper-right corner of the website header.
Q: How to a report an issue with a listing?
